My new site design is finally done
Thankfully it didn’t take long to hack in some IE6 CSS to fix the navigation and problems with the footer.
What DID take ages however was hacking IE6 to see through my transparent PNGs.
For months I have been messing around with code such as:
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(...);
Only to no avail. It just didn’t work how I wanted it to. I tried everything but in the end I went back to PNG-8
Welcome – iepngfix.htc
Today however I gave up with AplhaImageLoader and tried out the wonderful iepngfix.htc file.
It worked perfectly and thanks to this and this site, I was able to get my PNG’s see through and fancy free by 2:31am Tuesday… phew…
none
Well, I got around to re-designing my blog. I’ve had this design stuck in Photoshop for about 2 months now waiting to be chopped and CSSed over my old manky look.

Not Ready
At the moment the design is FAR from perfect. I have NO details on my About page, my Archive doesn’t work AND worst of all the design is TOTALLY NON BROWSER COMPATIBLE
In IE7 the Nav bar goes a little crazy and I imagine IE6 is no better as I’m using transparent PNG’s without any kind of hacks, nasty I know.
BUT I thought it better to get the design out there and on the site while I could. I had my FIRST free Saturday afternoon in ages so I decided I would sit back, watch the new Wargames sequel and thrash out my new design.
I hope everyone enjoys it a lot more that I did the Wargames sequel, man that was a bad film.
I’m tired now and the TV/Sofa is calling me downstairs for some me-time. I shall be back to fix my bugs and polish my nuts when I get the chance.
