A few days ago the $12,000+ “Run WinXP on a Mac” prize was won by 2 hardworking hackers.

Joy of Tech, as ever, had some excelent social commentry on this:

But that wasn’t all. A few days later the Xbox 360 was hacked allowing game back-ups to run:

Months of hard work have come to an end. The 360 FW security details were posted a few days ago already, so why not make it official It’s been done.

Not a perfect or by any means user friendly hack, but it does at least show some promise.
