Official: Vista is the new ME

Its happened.
The words I thought I would never hear. The thing I said would never happen. Vista, oh Vista, they have betrayed you.

In a single comment Steve Ballmer has tarred Windows Vista with the same brush that killed off poor old Windows ME:
“It’s not minor because it’s a lot more work than a minor release. It’s a major release. Windows 7 will be Vista, but a lot better.”
Its now official Windows 7 will be everything that Vista should have. Shame on Microsoft for doing this.
wow…thats terrible. Good thing I’ll be switching to mac soon or I would be upset.

I’ve often thought about the switch but I had a horrible experience with Macs when I was at college.
I’m still tempted of course. But I refuse to have to re-purchase all of my design software for a new platform.
Perhaps I need a sugar daddy client with deep pockets willing to push some new hardware my way.
