Webhost “Holy Grail”

After reading this article I wonder, did I rush into selecting PowWeb as my new webhost? I went with PowWeb because they were cheap, had been around a while and came recommended by a couple of hosting review sites.

I wont say I have had a particularly BAD experience with them, in fact they have been very reliable. However I find there Control Panel very frustrating and have had huge email problems over the past few weeks.

What I will say is, in a years time, chances are I will again be moving to a different host.

Of course this places me in danger of falling into the “Holy Grail” webhost syndrome. I could in theory find myself switching between one host and another (and another… and another… and another… ) every year until I eventually find one that I am comfortable with.

  1. I too am with powweb. I find the features are very good, and they do give you lots of control to do things out of the ordinary.

I would recommend them to most as the only outage I had didn’t last very long and they extended my contract for 2 months at no cost to myself.
