West Wing goes South

The only time televised politics ever seemed truly entertaining was of course during episodes of The West Wing. I found out today that the best show on television over the past 5 years has reached its end. Its sad, but somewhat expected.

The show reached its peak a few years ago and has slowly been trudging along since. The inclusion of Jimmy Smits as the new presidential candidate added a new element to the show which could have in theory added another 4 years to the show (West Wing: The Next Generation!). But without Martin Sheen at the helm it would simply be un-watchable. And the sudden death of John Spencer (Leo) a few months ago will of course had a detrimental effect on the production of a new series.

So to C.J., Josh, Charlie, Toby and Leo thanks for the entertainment over the years.

Saying I will miss the show is an understatement. I honestly have nothing new to watch other than Star Trek and Firefly repeats. Maybe I will get more work done.
